What kind of questions would you guys have for MEG? It’s just hopeful wishing that anyone from MEG would ever contact us, but if the situation arises, I want to be prepared! (I know a Kenner employee contacted the Littlest Pet Shop forum, so it could happen!)
I want to know: -What's the deal with Hildy, obviously! -Why did the US and UK names differ, and who named them? Especially want to know the story behind names like “Fingles” and “Glib.” -Why were series 3 kitties only sold in Canada? -And maybe just the whole creative process behind making them, from the “idea” stage, to sculpting, mass production, painting, and finally packaging.
Just thought it would be a fun topic to see what everyone is thinking about! And maybe we can answer each other’s questions while we’re at it!

From my observations of sets being sold over time on Ebay, I think the cream version was issued in USA and UK, and other European countries had the more orangey one. I have cards from UK, USA and France, and believe the hotel came out in Spain, Japan and Italy plus other mainland European countries. Most of them had puppies 1-25 in the relevant collectafile, hard to tell with other later issues in Canada and Mexico whether they actually issued it there or not.

A lot of them that were used as cereal promotions had the China blanked out, I think production of later figures and reissues moved to Macau, I do have a Kitty #1 which says made in Macau rather than china. I do also have a sealed blister pack issued in Mexico that has a #45 Puppy in it with China blanked out the rest of the pack has normal issues, I think the Mexico issues (En mi Bolsillo) came out later than other countries. So by then the moulds on some had changed.
This is my notes from puppies that I compiled a while ago, may not be complete
