Good to know, thank you! I'm not sure if the pink is pen or not, as I don't think I've ever had a pink ball point pen. I kind of suspect it's some kind of bug dropping that used to be reddish colored, that over time stained the white on the plastic pink. But either way, I suspect the pink stains are there forever. Haha. I am almost CERTAIN that I've seen blue pen marks with a pink aura around them, and even when the blue washes off the pink staining is still there... but now I'm googling it and finding no results I'm wondering if I'm just totally crazy and I'm remembering things weird, lol

Re: pen marks, I have noticed that ballpoint pen does fade to having a pink aura. I bought some dog figures around 10 years ago for my oldest son to play with. I bought a pack too so that I could play along with him. Some of the dogs duplicated so I marked underneath then with pen. I found them again the other night and the pen had faded significantly and did have a pink colouring around the outside edges.

Has anyone considered modifying/repainting doublers to create a sibling pup. I wondered about using acrylic paint to potentially create different fur shading and/or markings. I know this might be considered unthinkable to those that believe that they should be kept original, and I do feel that way myself about the ones I've got since childhood. However a heavily playworn example from ebay could benefit from a little bit of loving detail. In doing this a new character could be created as a sibling to a pup in the collection. Certainly its not an original, but it adds some individuality and your own personal touch to a figure that may otherwise have been overlooked due to its condition.

Personally, I think people can do whatever they want with their collections. They are your items, after all! I have seen a few people talk about customizing their puppies to make siblings or just make variants of duplicates. Repainting a puppy would certainly devalue it for resale purposes, but if you don't care about that sort of thing, then I think you should do what you like! I'm all for creative customization of toys!

Oh wow those are so cool, I love the husky with different coloured eyes. I'm definitely gonna give it a go now that I've seen it's been successfully. Perhaps just a small mod first. I think I'll give KC a sister, just some slight marking mods so that they look different but that you can still tell they're from the same litter 😃😃
