Hey everyone,
So proboard has a limited amount of storage for photo attachments, and we've reached it. I went in and deleted a lot of photos from old "wanted" and "for sale" posts, but that's only going to be a temporary solution as we continue to make new threads. (Which is a good thing, kinda! It means we're still going strong!) Even old threads have useful or interesting photos, so I'm not quite ready to part with them! Sooo there are a couple things we can do:
1. Pay for more storage. It's $3/month, but I guess I'm not willing to pay it myself. If anyone wants to go with me on it, I'd chip in though. 2. Do away with attachments and make everyone upload photos to photobucket/another storage site instead. Seems like a pain to me, but if other people like it, I'm down. 3. And the easiest option for everyone else, but boring for me, I could go into old threads, save the photos to photobucket, and replace them with the photobucket attachments.
Any opinions? I'm honestly thinking of option three. Sure, it'd be boring for me to do, but not so bad! And then we'd have a photobucket account with interesting pics in.
Any other ideas? Please send input!

Using Photobucket is just fine with me. If you really didn't mind doing option 3, that WOULD create a cool PB account for this site, but I wouldn't want to request it. And as for option 1...if enough people were willing to chip in, there might be a way to make it extremely cheap for everyone, but I dunno how many would want to.

You could do option 3, and then maybe once a month or so (maybe more, depending on how long it takes to get close to the storage limit), have someone (you could have different people do it each month), put the photos from that month into the photobucket account. That would let people post as normal, but they would only use up the storage space for a certain amount of time.
Alternatively, I'd be fine with creating some albums on my Facebook page to store the photos (but then people who don't have Facebook couldn't access them). I'd just have to come up with a good way of organizing things first (and I have some days off next week so could figure it out then).

It appears we have finally hit our attachment limit From now on, please upload to Flickr or Imgur. Does anyone have any other good sites? I think Photobucket hasn't been great anymore. I'm still willing to pay for more storage if anyone is willing to chip in. So, say, if there's 5+ people who commit to send me $3 each, we can do that. (Your $3 will ONLY go towards paying for more attachment space, not my own pocket.)

Hi Jenna,
To leave more space for more important photos I'm happy for you to remove the pictures I posted on my for sale list as some things have gone and I can upload up to date pictures instead.
Also if you do get enough people to chip in for more space I'd be willing to pay.

I'd also be willing to chip in for more storage.
