I was just kind of curious what limitations, if any, people have for their collections? Like, you collect the puppies and kitties, but not the ponies. Or you collect all the figures, but don't collect the paper items or playsets. Or do you plan to collect everything possible that is IMP, haha. I feel like I have to put a limit on how far I'm willing to go, or I get overwhelmed by the sheer number of items out there. (And I can't afford to go too crazy. ^_^  Right now I think I'll collect unique figures/sculpts of all the single puppies that have different names and cards. Like, I don't want to get every color variation of each puppy, but I will get a color variant if it was released with a different name/character (Like #2 and #2a). And I'm sort of interested in collecting some of the other items, like the stationary sets or the valentines day cards. The art is so cute! |

I don't collect the teddies.
I don't collect all the different cards. I stick to the original UK cards only, and the variants for those (white v. yellow). I hate that they changed the names of puppies/kitties for the USA versions. UK and original are the correct names imo. Herman, Mungo, McRuff, Ricky, Prince etc.

Haha, see I'm from the US and I'm mostly interested in getting all the US issue cards and feel like the US names are correct. haha. I guess it's a matter of perspective.
I feel like collecting all the cards would be quite a feet indeed!

I collect all of the figures and cards. I started with just puppies and one card for each. Then I liked the bunnies and collected those. Then kitties and ponies. I finally broke down and started collecting the teddies.
I keep accessories if I get them, but I don't seek them out. I don't collect the big pieces like the hotels.
If I had unlimited space, money, and time I would try buy anything IMP, mostly to document it. A virtual collection works just fine for me!

I had puppies and kittys when I was young so continue to collect those. I don't like the ponies so don't bother with them
I have 1 pack of teddy's I got when I was young and just decided to buy another set off Etsy only because it had the babies and they are adorable. But I don't think I will be getting anymore teddies.
I have some Canadian cards but not attached to them. I also have a playhouse and accessories that are just taking up space in my closet.

It's interesting how every collector is different. ^_^ I collected the puppies, kitties, ponies, and families as a kid. So I'm definitely inclined to continue those collections, although right now I'm only focusing on the single puppies, since they have always been my favorite.

It might be interesting to start a Discord or something for IMP collecting. I don't like Discord quite as much as a good ol' fashioned message board, as it's not as easy to create topic threads and stuff. It has a tendency to be more like one giant text thread. However, it is easy to share photos on there. I would also love to see other people's collections. It's good inspiration and also helps distract me from wanting to buy everything. Haha.

There is a fb group to buy and sell. Some people share collections on there just to show off or ask for values. You should join the group

I've been thinking about starting a FB group. I have a FB page, I think I made it before groups were really a thing. I like the privacy of a group. Should I do it? Or do people like Discord or something more?
