It seems like most people here do their hunting online, either because of where they live or the rarity of the puppies they still need. Because of my limited budget and Canada's ridiculously high shipping costs I do all my puppy-hunting locally, either in thrift stores or on local sales websites like facebook marketplace, so I thought it might be interesting to sort of catalogue my finds in a thread so people can see what and where I end up finding stuff. I lucked out today on fb marketplace and got what the seller listed as 'a box of dalmatians' for $10. From the image in the listing I could see a bunch of PPs and at least one iMP in the box, so I took a shot and went for it. Here's the box and what was inside: (I don't want to destroy your screens, so open the images in a new tab to view the full pics and see the details)
6 puppy in my pockets, 13 precious kitties, and 22 precious puppies. A pretty good haul! Only two of the PiMPs were new for me, but I got all the PPs and PKs that I'd been looking for, (even though I swore I wasn't officially collecting them, lol.) I think the other animals that came in the box are interesting too! The box had 'Amber C.' written on it, and was obviously someone's old personal collection. There's a few giveaways to that: the mcdonalds toys are ones I had as a kid, the dollar store pencil topper cats and dogs (I had those too!), and the fact that there are SO MANY DALMATIANS because the second movie came out around that time and caused dalmatian mania. There's almost ALWAYS dalmatians when I find mixed lots like this. Hope you guys found this as interesting as I did! I'll be back when I find something new, but who knows how long that will be (after April, my next find didn't happen until all the way in September. It's all about luck out here.)

Excellent find! Definitely worth the $10. Plus going through a mystery box is just fun!
I live in a pretty rural area without a lot of opportunities to thrift. I've never seen any in the wild!

Cute! Yeah, looking at the assortment some things stand out to me... The bigger yellow- and blue-collar Dalmatians look familiar to me. I think there might be a photo of kid-me in the tub holding one from the movie in a blue collar (Perdita I believe) that looks similar to the yellow-collared one... Some of the other dogs I think I recognize from that old Finnish site. The fish are interesting too (my second favorite animal after dogs. ^^) None of them would happen to have snaps on the back, would they? The bigger ones remind me of a t-shirt I used to have with 3 snap-on fishes. :3 I'm sure they're regular ones similar to my plastic & magnetic ones though. I like that most of them are realistic. I confess I'm not even sure where a nearby thrift store would be; my mom/family's aversion to buying anything secondhand rubbed off on me a bit and I've never been to one...>.>' Even though it's an environmentally friendly thing to do & I like the idea theoretically. And I have had to get a number of things used online.

I got 41 all together, so that works out to like 25 cents a puppy/kitty... can't get much better than that even for common ones. And yeah, the mystery box made it feel a bit like christmas, haha. One weird thing I noticed though was the #83 Bren I got feels like it's made out of a different material than the other puppies, more plastic than rubber? Were there ever bootlegs made? It has the copyright on the bottom but it's less crisp than on my other puppies. Cute! Yeah, looking at the assortment some things stand out to me... The fish don't have any snaps on them, but it wouldn't be unheard of if they used the same moulds or something. You should totally check out the local thrift stores, by the way! Even if you just look, it's sort of like an adventure.
