Hey everyone! I got a new job and will be moving to a new town soon, so I may not be as active with the forum and the site for a couple weeks! If I'm slow to reply or update things, that's why! Also, the forum's 1 year anniversary is coming up-- woo!

Don't be nervous! They hired and relocated you for a reason! I'm so curious actually. I know you're a graphic artist, but what is your speciality? I went to a trade HS. Studied graphics for four years and although I loved it, I really didn't love the jobs or customers. I ended up in a completely different field. Drug Discovery. However a few of my friends continued with graphics. One of them makes a comfortable living working out of home making business cards and wedding invitations. Is that what you do?? (Minus the working out of home part, which I'm secretly jealous of lol)

Thanks Tasha! I'm mostly nervous about leaving my friends and family and dog here. I've been working at a smaller place, mostly designing t-shirt graphics but also other print media like business cards and signs/banners. It was my first job out of college and I feel like I've outgrown it. So it was time to make a change! I took a job as a print technician at a college, so I'm going to be helping students get their projects printed up. So I'll be operating large format printers, etching machines, fabric printers, 3D printers, and I don't even remember what all! It's not exactly what I had in mind but at least it's a step in the right direction. Eventually I'd like to work at a design firm but right now I'm happy to be done with picky customers for a while!

Ahh that's scary.. I'd be nervous about that too.. I still live in the same town as my dad (still daddy's girl, guilty) lol yah I can deff understand that. Leaving friends behind is also hard, but meeting new people is so exciting. Running presses is so awesome! That's cool that you'll be working with students as I think they'll be more open to suggestions. The picky customer is not and they think they know everything and anything is possible. Drove me nuts. Do you enjoy running presses? I remember being covered in ink but loving it.. Although almost all of my freshmen projects are crooked lol. I think the computer stuff is my fav, I remember we had to learn how to make cartoonish movies. That was so much fun a group of us made a music video with these girls dancing. I should see if one of them still has it.

Yeah, I'm lucky enough to have family and friends in the town I'm moving to, so there's that!
I won't really be operating presses, more like printers for students' one-off projects. I have no idea what to expect!

Hey! I've been moved to my new town and been working at my new job for about a week and a half! I'm still getting used to it but I think I'll like it enough. I have been staying with family, but next weekend I should be in my own apartment, and hopefully will have internet hooked up. I'll be able to start working on the website again soon!
All my stuff is still sitting at my old apartment! My parents came down and dropped off some stuff, including some of my Puppies! I'm happy to have my moms and babies collection! I can't wait to get my main collection back, along with the rest of my stuff!

Good to hear you're doing well! I would love to stay with my dad again, he makes the best cook. Hopefully mom and dad are spoiling you a bit, while they have ya! Glad to hear you also got some of your pups back! Can't wait until you add more to the site! I'm dying to know all the precious pups stories!!
