Frankie is very handsome! And I'm sorry to hear about Jessie. It really is for the best when the animals are suffering though. It's such a shame that animals don't live longer. I want to keep my dog forever!

Thanks Jenna. I know what you mean. They really do become members of your family.

My family has a lot of pets, but I don't have a group photo So for now, here's a picture of my cat Sorsha. I named her after the character of the same name from the movie Willow. She is a 6 years old, <5 pounds, dark brown mackerel tabby with green-gold eyes I've had her since she was 8 weeks. My family also has our border collie cross Toby. Rescue dog, she's 12-14. Then our other 4 cats (too many cats, though I do love them haha) V/Evelyn 4 years, Leopold/Leo 8 years, Timbit/Tim (my dad named him that because we brought him home in a Timbit box. Timbits are little doughnuts... Canadian thing) 12 and Chloe/Grandma Chloe 18. Then I have a fish tank with 4 beautiful fancy goldfish- Ackbar the black moor, Aeon calico fantail, Juno calico Ryukin and Zod the blue oranda.

Yes, the trick is to own pets that live forever lol I'm kidding, but we do have a joke that the cat will outlive us all. Plus the goldfish can live 20 years.
It's kind of cute to think that my cat Chloe was around all through elementary school.

My profile pic is of my little cat Noah. She used to belong to students who moved out of halls and into a flat and promptly got a kitten without thinking what would happen to her when they graduated. About six months before they graduated they put out the feelers they were looking for a new home, and my sister happened to be friends with them, so my Mum said we would take her as a last resort. So they sat back and did nothing for six months and we ended up being the last resort. I know that sounds really bad, but it's really not as bad as it sounds.
She is called Noah because the students originally thought that She was a He, called Him Noah, and then found out that He was a She. We just kept the name. Noah has now been with us just over two and a half years, and she is my magnificent mighty hunter. Some people don't like their cats hunting, but you have to understand that they are not completely domesticated yet, and as such their hunting instinct is still there and is separate from their hunger instinct. I'm not going to get my cat into trouble for being a cat, although we do prefer it when she hunts mice over birds.
She doesn't like being picked up or being handled two much, but that is okay because she likes head butting me (a form of greeting for cats), and also slowly closes her eyes at me (sometimes they are called 'cat kisses'). Her senses are far superior to mine so every time she sits up suddenly and look out my window I always look too. I love watching her nose twitch as she picks up all the smells and scents that I can't.

Oh I hate irresponsible pet owners! I'm glad Noah found a happy home though! My friends were told the kitten they were buying was a boy, so they named it Winston. When they took it to the vet, they were told Winston was a girl! They'd been calling her Winston so long that they just kept it too.

The same thing happened with my boyfriend's cat. They thought the kitten was a girl so named it Mindy, but when I visited I told him she was actually a he. He was intent on changing the name to Steve lol But his family was too used to it, so they just call him Min mostly.

I'll admit, I have a long list of hypothetical pet names... It's a little ridiculous!

Ahahaha, Sharky XD It's kind of cute though. I like the name Rogue a lot though- reminds me of the X-men character. I've always over-thought pet names. Sorsha was almost Tempest. Actually, everyone I asked said they preferred Tempest over the name Sorsha, but I thought it fit her more and had a better ring to it. A lot of my pets (V, Leopold, Ackbar, Aeon, Juno, Zod, Sorsha) are named after movie/comic characters lol When I was young I named my pets after food. Two rats named Gingerale and Pepsi, mouse named Snickers, hamster named Reese. Oh yes. Jenna, I'd love to hear some of those names

I was going to take my future pet names from IMP IMP figures. I was thinking the next cats I get, I would call Dulcie and Bertie I did get to name my childhood cats. Well one of them. We got them around November so my Dad called one Poppy. My Mum had a cat called Sophie when she was younger, and my sister and I really wanted to call the other cat that, but my Mum wouldn't let me, so I turned to the very back of the babies name book we had and picked out Zoe.

These are my pets Sugar is an 11 year old border collie/corgi mix who I rescued when she was 6 weeks old. Our kitten Meg is only 8 months old, they both get on so well together and I love them both dearly and would be lost without them! When Sugar and I are out she often gets mistaken for a border collie puppy as she looks like a collie but she has short corgi legs they don't believe me when I tell them her real age.
