Name/Screenname: Cat What you collect: mostly puppies but I have various others and I am not ready to part with them yet. I keep telling myself I'll complete my puppy collection and then move on to kitties but it looks unlikely For how long you've been collecting: Since I was perhaps 7 or 8 I think, so for around 24 years now! Favourite figure: It has to be my first, "Queenie", whom I named "Honeysuckle" as she was found under a honeysuckle bush and I didn't know she was an IMP then. Anything else about yourself: I am now a mum so feel fully justified in keeping my collection for all these years, but so far they've only been allowed to play with the doubles! haha

My own story: I would like to introduce myself. I am Manouk, a 29 year old girl from Vlaardingen, The Netherlands. My English is not perfect so maybe some sentences will be strange I am a Puppy in my pocket collector since I was a very young girl. My first puppy was 22#Spot that I’ve got from my birthday party. First I played with my puppies and later I started to collect them seriously. Unfortunately when I looked the back of the blister packages I realize as a child I could never get them all because many were not for sale in The Netherlands. That ’s was so heartbroken for me Then Internet and Ebay became my big friends and started with buying all the puppies from other countries. No I have a huge collection of Puppy in my pocket and many puppies from other marks. I am definitely a dog fan. I also bought some Baby Surprise and collect them too. I also have all the Topps figures and have some ponies but it’s important to say I do not collect pony, kitty and teddy in my pocket. But there are some ponies I want. I had contact with Mike for a while but then I lost my interest in my collection and it went to difficult to buy from Ebay. So a long time I did nothing with it. But now I am back and discovered the beautiful website of Jenna and this forum. I would like to ask for spares. I want to try to get my missing puppies, stuff and cards. I will put my needed list on this forum but don’t know when Thanks for reading. Manouk Questions and answers: Name/Screenname: Manouk What you collect: Puppy in my pocket, Baby Suprise in my pocket, Some ponies. Topps figures, and Chi chi love figures. I also have a lot of Schleich, Hoodhounds and others but Stopped buying them. How long you've been collecting: Well, I was a kid, So maybe more than 20 years Favorite figure: WOW, there are so many, but I think Spike the exclusive club puppy. I like pugs! Anything else about yourself: Well. See my story above!

Wow, two new folks in one day?! =) Welcome! It's always great to meet fellow animal/toy lovers. Unfortunately my sale list is pretty small because I'm kind of in the same boat; I had a substantial childhood collection of puppies, but ever since joining this board it's absolutely exploded, and I acquired a few doubles here and there along the way.

Yay, welcome Cat and Manouk! Cat, Honeysuckle is such a cute name! I'm not a mom, but I've always wondered if I'd let my future kids play with my IMPs... they could have the doubles though! Manouk, I'm glad you've got your account here! The internet and ebay helped me buy a bunch of puppies were made, too! I thought because they weren't sold in my country, they weren't sold anywhere. I'm so glad they were!

Hi! Thanks Clover, Jenna and Amy. I am so tempted by eBay listings at the mo but trying to keep a lid on it! Can't believe you have this forum and the 90s in my pocket website. Absolutely what was missing from the Internet! Love my puppy in my pockets!

Name: Hi, my name is Charlotte and I'm from the UK What you collect: I collect a range of In My Pocket figures, with my biggest collection being the puppies. I also have many kitties, a few ponies and 2 teddies. How long you've been collecting: My collection started when I was around 6/7 years old when I was given a big bag of plastic animals as a Christmas present from a family member that knew someone who no longer wanted them, but knew how much I loved animals so gave them to me. A few years after receiving this bag of animals, I realised that many of them were In My Pocket figures and after searching on eBay, found so many more I didn't already have. I managed to acquire a big collection of different In My Pocket figures a few years back, however, stopped buying for a while as I had bought so many. When I was going for days out in the summer holidays last summer, I was in a charity shop in a nearby town (which I nearly didn't go into as it was the end of the day and it was up a really steep hill) and there, in a bag of other animals, was the Standard Poodle figure, Fifi! Although I had already collected her many years before, I still had to buy her as I'd never seen any vintage In My Pocket figures in a charity shop before then. I have now started collecting again after finding many figures on eBay for really good prices as I'm wanting to add more to my collection. Favorite figure: I absolutely love all my figures, however, Dixie the spaniel with the flowers in her mouth has to be one of my all time favourites. I remember buying a bundle of figures off eBay, mainly because she was included and I'd been after her for many months. Anything else about yourself: I have always absolutely loved animals so would love to work with them eventually, so I'll be starting an Animal Management course in September to pursue this career path. I absolutely love going into charity shops as I'm always on the look out for bargains. I really hope I will come across more In My Pocket figures as I browse through charity shops, car boot sales etc.

Welcome Charlotte! I am relatively new here and I LOVE it! If only this site had been around years ago when I was topping up my collection.
I have a few figures for sale or trade - do you have any to trade?
Look forward to chatting more from you. I'm also UK (Scotland) and it's great on here because we can see the figures that were more common here and those that were in the States and we don't need to pay over the odds like on eBay etc.
Oh and which version of Dixie do you have? Curious! Cat x

Hi Cat!
This is such a great forum to be part of! 😄 I'm so glad I've come across it too as its been of great help to me so far ☺️
I don't currently have any figures for trade as I'm in the middle of buying quite a few so I'll wait until I've got all the figures I've bought and then see if there's any I can trade ☺️
Which figures do you have for sale? I'm always on the look out to add to my collection ☺️
Yeah, I'm so glad there's so many collectors from both the UK and everywhere else as its great to see everyone's collections 😄
The prices for figures on here are so reasonable and affordable which is really great to see as sellers charge so much for figures on eBay, which are usually really common figures that aren't worth even half of what they're charging for them. I've been so lucky to find really reasonable figures on eBay these past few weeks to add to my collection which has been good ☺️
The one where she's holding yellow flowers in her mouth. Even though she's fairly common, she's such a beautiful figure ☺️

Welcome Charlotte!
I'm also from the UK. I enjoy looking through charity shops for bargains too! I haven't seen any IMP figures in charity shops for a long time now.
I used to see them frequently - around 10-13 years ago or so. My conclusion to that is parents getting rid of old toys from their homes, now their kids are grown and out of the house, and those kids would have been the generation that collected IMP figures lol.

Thank you 90skitty! ☺️
I've found some great deals in charity shops over the years, especially when I used to collect any plastic animals I could find. I haven't seen one since finding the Fifi figure last summer but I'm hoping I will again eventually ☺️
When I bought Fifi in the charity shop, it seemed like someone had has a clear out of either their garage or loft so there was quite a few vintage type figures in the bag I found her in. Hopefully I'll come across something like that again when I'm next browsing in charity shops ☺️
Yeah, I think that's exactly what had happened with the Fifi figure as there was so many Disney figures in other bag bundles, as well as other children's figures that had clearly been in storage for a while.

Name/Screenname: Jacqueline here from the US! All 32 years of me.
What you collect: Soley collecting Puppy in my Pockets.
How long you've been collecting: Oh this little love of mine started in the heyday of the good ole 90s, when I was a wee girl in elementary school and all of the gals used wooden blocks to create little puppy worlds in aftercare. We used to trade them and often times I kept a spare or two hidden in the linty pockets of my favorite jeans. My sister and I would take turns choosing who we'd play with each day (though they were mine) but I had my favorites and she was wise to leave the latter to me. Once I hit college my mom moved and with the move she took the last of my childhood toys and donated them. My large collection of puppies went and here I am so many years later with little girls of my own, convincing myself that it's for their joy that I find every last one of my favorites as I rebuild my puppy empire. Their joy... right? 😉
Favorite figure: Santa (in black with discolored eyes) who Im still looking for and Penny (had a cocker of my own). I also had a soft spot for the very first pack I received with Azuma and the gang.
Anything else about yourself: Im a photographer and writer who married my childhood sweetheart (yep he was around in my Puppy IMP days) and now with 2 girls born days apart from my own birthday. The littlest one being only 5 months young. I'm proud mom to a brilliant 10 yr old German Shepherd (and a well mannered Black cat who thinks hes a dog) so naturally these are the ones I first started grabbing in the collection.

Thanks for sharing your puppy memories! Hope your girls love them too!

Nice to meetcha! I’m a year younger but very very much 13 at heart (i.e., I’ve got toys/collectibles/childhood stuff everywhere and they’re mine, mine, all mine, muahaha!) Although I also have lengthy lists of everything I ever owned at any age and wish I could have back. ;-; >< xD;
It’s fantastic to me now that my older younger brother used to play with the PiMPs and me as often as he did. We had them fighting wars, and having pool parties in the bathroom sink or backyard pool...ahh, the good old days when we played pretend games all the time and he actually asked me to give him the most “boyish” Lisa Frank folder I had (Hollywood Bear) whilst teaching him about dogs! And the blocks remind me of how I would steal the utensil rack from the washing machine (always right before my mom needed it) because it looks exactly like a row of PiMP-sized kennels. I have old photos of them arranged in an Easter basket, on a book pyramid, in rows in front of a wooden sled, in class photos, etc., etc.
Basically everything in the world (including elections, game shows, board games, whatever) inspired me to enact or depict it with them, and assign things to them individually (whether it was full names, friend groups, bfs/gfs, doors on a “Doors of Dublin” poster, houses in a blueprint book or set of miniature buildings so they could live and work together in a Pollyville-esque town......) They traveled, and used pieces from Littlest Pet Shop & Show Champions—Pound Puppies are a bit too small. I still have the spinner from a game I made using the figures as pawns and another Lisa Frank folder as a board. All in all, an excellent choice should you share them with the girls, because the little guys stir the imagination like no others. ;D
I’m still dismayed, though, that they didn’t make a Saluki (or lots of other breeds) until the less-realistic “G2.” Well, actually, there is PomPom in the Topps, so I’ll count her. I lost my first Saluki dogter in January. Currently living with two other hounds (Beagle & Bluetick coonhound), & a big black Bernese Mountain Dog/Golden Retriever cross.
