Name/Screenname: Kelly What you collect: Puppy in my Pocket, mostly series 1 but if I stumble across the later series I grab those too How long you've been collecting: January 2022. I'd seen them around occasionally in second hand stores, and I finally decided, hey why not Favourite figure: Hard choice, but probably #9 Jemma because she's the only original one I have left from my childhood. Anything else about yourself: Thrifting gets me out of the house, and Puppy in my Pocket were the perfect thing to start collecting: they're nostalgic, small, and cheap. I've decided to only search for them locally because searching for them is the whole point, and online shopping could quickly get out of hand... but as my collection has grown, I've ended up with doubles, as well as Kitties in my Pocket and Topps animals that while I'm not interested in collecting, my collector's heart feels should go to the right homes. (My best friends so far have been a baby poodle and a baby koala... I remember I had two sets of the Collie mom as a kid, and out of the 8 babies they came with I lost all but 2 or 3.)

Wow, I'm so jealous that you find them in the wild! Do you collect the cards? If you see any with French and English, some of us here might be interested

Wow, I'm so jealous that you find them in the wild! Do you collect the cards? If you see any with French and English, some of us here might be interested They're out there, you just gotta know where to look! I have the best luck at large second hand stores that sell toys in bags of similar items (value village/savers is the best one in my area), and on the local marketplace under 'puppies' or 'animal' toys. A lot of times people dont know what they have, they're just selling a bunch of cute puppies. I don't collect the cards, but you better believe if I see any I'll buy them and offer them here. I'm amazed that the cards are even still out there, I was five when they came out and five year olds aren't the best with keeping little papers lol. Do you think anyone out there still has the little candy bones? Hi Kelly! Nice to see another Canadian collector. I am in B.C. if you ever want to do trades please let me know. I guess not the same as finding them in the thrift store but at least not Ebay lol Absolutely! I'm going to upload my collection somewhere so I know what I have and what I have to trade, and once I do I'll pass you the list.

I have seen the candy bones in some of the individual puppy packs like on Ebay. They look pretty gross now.

I live in a VERY small town, and it would be a dream come true if I found puppies that I don't already have. Seems pretty unlikely as I have nearly all of series 1 and 2 puppies and that's the most common out here. Alas, I can continue to dream. Haha. I have a lot of my childhood cards, but they are pretty rough. I'm always impressed at how good some of these 30 year old cards look. I've also seen the little bones on ebay. I think they are only fit for display purposes now, haha.

Even then it can be hard to find them, I only found them on three or four occasions all of last year, but to be fair I wasn't looking SUPER hard last year. I'm looking harder this year and I'm having much better luck, but it can still be a month or two between finding them in stores. My mom told me that the first time she saw my sister eat the bone she panicked because she didn't realize it was candy. It might be cool to get a hold of one of the bones to make a mold to make non candy replicas from.

Hi all My name is David and I'm from the UK. I started collecting when I was a kid, probably just as puppy in my pocket came out. I do have some bears and kitty's as well but these weren't my main interest to the extent that the puppies are. My first puppy came from a cereal box called Weetos. The puppy is a Corgi, it was originally named Cassie. I wanted Cassie to be a boy so he was renamed K.C. He is my favourite by far. The rest of my collection I was given by friends. I never actually bought one. They gave me doublers and ones that they didn't want. I played with mine a lot as a child and this is why I still have them. How could I just get rid of something that was such a big part of my life? I've since discovered K.C was available in the main range and was named Queenie. I've also read that figures that came with Weetos come with little white dots on their eyes, not sure how accurate that is. I definitely have some on my radar that I'd love to add to the collection in the future. About me: I work as a mechanic and I collect diecast cars and I enjoy other fugures such as the Kinder Teeny Terrapins and Crazy Crocos etc. It's lovely to find this group of adult collectors, I look forward to chatting with you all and seeing your posts. Cheers David

Hi David, welcome! It's been a bit quiet here for quite a while, but be sure to ask any questions or start discussions!

Thanks guys it's just nice to know there's somewhere I can go for some pup chat or info. I've followed your page on Instagram Jenna and dropped a few comments. I've ordered a couple of new puppies from etsy as well, really looking forward to them arriving, and adding them to my collection.
